Garrard 401 Turntable

Blow out the Xmas fat with this very nice vintage idler-wheel turntable from the late ’60s/early ’70s. The earlier Garrard 301 has a legendary reputation, but this later 401 was better designed and features an oil bearing better suited for stereo playback. However the 401 didn’t feature quite the same level of build quality of the 301, hence why it can be picked up for less. Neither-the-less it can still give great quality sound that would be hard to beat for the money.
This example features the excellent Rega RB300 tonearm, worth around £150 on its own.
